A memorial fund has been established through the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Foundation to honor the memory of an alumnus who passed away earlier this month.
The Justin Tubyeej Vue Memorial Fund will provide student scholarships through UW-Eau Claire’s Multicultural Student Services office.
“Justin Tubyeej Vue has left us with his passion and love for community building,” a statement from his family says. “This scholarship will help further this unfinished work. We sincerely trust that this scholarship opportunity is a way for us and others to amplify Justin’s love, care and adventure lifestyle as he crossed paths with people around him. We know that his spirit will stay alive among us, especially those lives that Justin has touched.”
Vue graduated from UW-Eau Claire in 2019 with a degree in information systems, business analysis. Vue’s father, Charles Vue, was the first Hmong person to graduate from UW-Eau Claire and was associate director of the Office of Multicultural Affairs when he retired in 2022.
